== Usage ==
This template is intended to be used on [[Wikipedia:Avoid academic boosterism|academic articles]] which require [[Wikipedia:Cleanup|cleanup]] to meet Wikipedia's [[Wikipedia:Neutral point of view|neutral point of view]] and/or [[Wikipedia:Conflict of interest|conflict of interest]] policies. When applying this template to an article, editors should note specific reasons on the article's talk page. The template is primarily intended for articles about academic institutions (schools, colleges, universities), although it can also be applied to articles about academic programs, buildings, sports teams, media, traditions, administrators, faculty, etc. This template should only be used in the main (article) namespace. Do not place this template on talk pages, user pages, [[WP:PG|policies and guidelines]], or other similar pages.

==Parameters==
This template refers to an article by default. It can be adjusted for use in sections of an article or for lists with the "what" parameter. Example for a section:

Syntax for current month:
 <nowiki>{{Booster|date=</nowiki>{{CURRENTMONTHNAME}} {{CURRENTYEAR}}}}
